CMT Draws 23 Million Viewers for 'Dukes of Hazzard' Weekend Featuring Premiere of 'CMT Inside Fame' and Re-Launch of Hit Series Monday March 7, 7:30 am ET

NASHVILLE, Tenn., March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- CMT's "Dukes of Hazzard" Weekend, featuring the premiere of CMT INSIDE FAME: THE DUKES OF HAZZARD and CMT's re-launch of the pop culture hit series, drew 23 million viewers and set multiple records at the network.

According to Nielsen Media Research (2/25/05-2/27/05), CMT was the No. 1 rated basic cable network among Adults 18-49 and Males 18-49 for the Sunday, Feb. 27 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT time period, scoring a 1.24 rating and a 1.50 rating respectively. The original CMT INSIDE FAME: THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, featuring new interviews with original stars John Schneider (Bo Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), Ben Jones (Cooter Davenport), and James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane), scored the long-running CMT series' highest-rated episode ever with the 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT telecast on Sunday, Feb. 27.

The strength of the "Dukes of Hazzard" Weekend drove Saturday, Feb. 26 to become CMT's highest-rated and most-watched day ever among Adults 18-49. The stellar weekend propelled the full week to become CMT's highest-rated and most-watched week among the demographic in channel history. February also saw the premieres of strong-performing CMT originals including LYNYRD SKYNYRD'S SUPER BOWL SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL, CMT CROSSROADS: JOHN FOGERTY AND KEITH URBAN, CMT GREATEST MYTHS 2, and the season finale of MUZIKMAFIA TV. These shows, combined with "Dukes" programming, led February to become CMT's most- watched month ever among Adults 18-49.

CMT telecasts THE DUKES OF HAZZARD Monday through Friday at 7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT (repeats at 11:00 PM-12:00 Midnight, ET/PT) for a whole new generation of Dukes fans and long-time devotees alike.
